Half a Million Hands

I've played about 500,000 hands this year or about 1.28 hands per minute of 2009. As of writing this I stand at 777K VPPs so it looks like I should hit 1 million and become SuperNova Elite in early December.

I do not plan on doing this again. I repeat, I do not plan on doing this again. Next year I plan on focusing on short-handed play and no-limit cash games/tournaments - more on that at the end of the year.

It's really been an uphill battle the last few months. I think I ran extremely well earlier in the year and extremely poor the last few months. Things have a way of evening out.

Here's what the first 500K hands have looked like:

  3. wow. I thought I had gotten alot of poker points. I managed to get about 12,000 points playing the last month. Your head must want to explode sometimes. You must have a heck of a system. See you in Sacramento.

  5. Hey Jeff-

I won't be around Friday, actually heading up to Sacramento that night to play in the tournament. Might be able to play Saturday or Sunday depending on how the tournaments go up there.

  6. Tony, I will be there on Friday as well. There is usually action up there. Lot of guys dont show up til after 8 or 9pm. Since I work daily I dont like to start playing too late. You might ask to play some with Mike Deweese. He shows up earlier and is good action. He will bet anywhere from 50-300 a game. You should be able to beat him even, but most of the guys only like to bet 20-50 per game. Text me when you are coming up. You beat Melvin now, so I know you are a worthy opponent. -JG

  7. I'm driving up with my wife so we'll probably just check into the hotel and relax Friday night. I'll try to get to the pool room early Saturday so I can get some practice in on the tables. So possibly we can play Sat or Sun depending on what happens with the tournament. I'll see you up there.
