Sweet Start to the Year in Limited Action

I guess 23,000 hands isn't that limited but I've been in Mexico about sixteen days now and that's about half of what I typically play during that length of time on poker trips.  I didn't even meet the 50K minimum VPP requirement to maintain SNE status for the first time, fortunately they allow to miss up to two months a year.

Overall I think I've played some of the most focused poker I've played in my life.  Of the tens of thousands of decisions I've made, I'd guess my mind wandered on less than twenty of them.  I've put as much thought as possible into nearly every one of them and it's paid dividends.  I've also tried to get out of my apartment nearly every day to get my mind off poker and the result has been feeling refreshed and more focused when I'm playing.

I've realized in the last few weeks, what frustrates me most at the tables is when I'm not thinking clearly and unfocused.  The more hours I put in, the more likely this is to happen, and in the past I've always just played through it forcing myself to accept I'm not playing my best.  Unfortunately to want to make SNE, it's likely I'll have to deal with this again but for now I"m enjoying playing shorter days where a higher percentage of my play is my A game.

We're moving apartments tomorrow to a much nicer place.  The internet here has been awful, cutting in and out periodically and then going out all together for periods of time.  I'd guess it has cost me between two and three thousand dollars in disconnects so far.  I went out and bought a wireless card a few days ago for backup - definitely should have done this ahead of time.

Good luck at the tables everyone.

Also I know a lot of people like looking at my results and have asked about it in the comments.  Since I changed my blog outlay I haven't been able to paste pictures in here and have them be visible.  I'm not really sure how to do it but you can right-click, view image if you are interested.
